MYTHOLOGY MEME;
(2/8) Legendary CreaturesSIREN (Greek singular: Σειρήν Seirēn; Greek plural: Σειρῆνες Seirēnes) In Greek mythology, the Sirens were dangerous yet beautiful creatures, portrayed as femme fatales who lured nearby sailors with their enchanting music and voices to shipwreck on the rocky coast of their island. When the Sirens were given a name of their own, they were considered the daughters of the river god Achelous, fathered upon Terpsichore, Melpomene, Sterope, or Chthon (the Earth).
