The Unseelie Court originates from Scottish mythology and is a dark counterpart to the Seelie Court. The Unseelie fairies appear in groups at night and harrass travelers by lifting them up in the air, beating them or forcing them to do acts of violence. However, some Unseelie fairies might become fond of a particular human and treat them almost like a pet.
